Due to changes in the Milwaukee Rampage season schedule, the Wisconsin mens soccer team will play a Milwaukee, Wis., select team in todays exhibition contest in place of the Rampage. Game time remains 12:00 p.m. at the Milwaukee Rampage Sports Complex.
The Rampage, a professional A-League team, adjusted their schedule Saturday to play the MLS Kansas City Wizards in the quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Consequently, two other games were moved into this weeks lineup and the Rampage face the Cincinnati Riverhawks at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night in Milwaukee. The Badgers will play their exhibition game against Rampage reserve players and select soccer players from the Milwaukee area.
Wisconsin kicks off its regular season with the Rocky Rococo Wisconsin Soccer Classic, Friday, August 30 Sunday, September 1 at the McClimon Soccer Complex. On Friday, Western Michigan University will play Florida Atlantic University at 5 p.m. The Badgers take the field at 7:30 p.m. against the Iona College Gaels. On Sunday, the tournament continues as Western Michigan plays Iona at 12 p.m. and the Badgers face the Florida Atlantic Owls at 2:30 p.m. A tournament awards ceremony will take place following the Wisconsin game Sunday afternoon.
