Senior forward Dominic DaPra recorded a pair of goals to lead the Wisconsin Red squad to a 2-1 victory over the White team in a UW soccer exhibition match today at the McClimon Soccer/Track Complex.
Freshman David Martinez of the White team scored the first goal of the game, firing an outside shot past starting goalkeeper Moriba Atiba Baker at the 6:20 mark of the first half.
DaPra, the Big Tens leading scorer from a year ago, answered at 18:12 with a 15-yard bullet off a crossing pass from senior midfielder Leron Gabriel. DaPra struck again with 5:24 remaining in the first half as he controlled a rebound and put what would be the game-winner past White keeper Phil Ayoub.
The Badgers face their first outside competition Saturday, Aug. 25, hosting Loyola-Chicago for an exhibition game starting at 5:00 p.m.
