MADISON, Wis. — Three Wisconsin men’s soccer games will air on the Big Ten Network in the upcoming season. Two UW games will be broadcast live along with a third game shown on tape-delay.
Wisconsin’s Big Ten season opener at Indiana on Oct. 3 will be broadcast live by the BTN. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. as the Badgers look to avenge a 2009 Big Ten Tournament loss to the Hoosiers.
UW will also appear live on the BTN on Oct. 17 when the team travels to East Lansing, Mich., for a 1:30 p.m. meeting with Michigan State.
The BTN plans to air the Badgers’ game against Ohio State on Oct. 31 as well. Game time is set for 1 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio, but the network will show the game at 6 p.m. CT.
The BTN schedule includes 13 men’s soccer games this fall, including the semifinals and final of the Big Ten Tournament in State College, Pa., on Nov. 12 and 14, respectively.
The Badgers open the 2010 season on the road at the UC Irvine College Classic. UW takes on Santa Clara on Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. Wisconsin’s home slate begins with a Sept. 17 game against San Diego State in the Wisconsin Soccer Classic.
