MADISON, Wis. -- This year’s Bucky’s Buddies Soccer Clinic, sponsored by American Family Insurance, is right around the corner, with the clinic set for noon on Saturday, Aug. 21.
Kids age 12 and under have the opportunity to participate in a skills clinic given by the University of Wisconsin men’s and women’s soccer teams. For only $9 each, participants will receive a clinic t-shirt, pizza courtesy of Papa John’s and tickets to future Badgers games.
Check-in for the clinic will begin at 11:15 a.m. at the McClimon Soccer Complex, located on Walnut Street on the west side of campus, near UW Hospital. Free parking will be available in Lot 60, which located directly across from the front gate of the soccer field.
Bucky Badger will also be on hand prior to the clinic for autographs and pictures. A pizza party and autograph session with the UW men’s and women’s players and coaches will follow the one-hour clinic. The event wraps up around 2 p.m.
The Bucky’s Buddies Soccer Clinic is a great opportunity for kids to interact with their favorite Wisconsin men’s and women’s soccer players as well as practice their soccer skills.
The Wisconsin women’s soccer team opens its 2010 home schedule on Friday, Aug. 27, as the Badgers host UCLA at 7 p.m. at the McClimon Complex. Clinic participants will receive a free ticket to the game.

Also, mark your calendar for the second annual PAC the MAC doubleheader on Sunday, Oct. 10. Both UW teams will be in action, as the women’s team hosts Illinois at noon and the men’s team hosts Michigan at 2:30 p.m. Kids will receive free admission by wearing their youth team soccer jersey to the game.
