A day camp for boys ages 6-12 is the first offering of the summer, with the five-day program beginning June 16 and running through June 20. The camp is geared toward providing an affirming atmosphere and a fun setting for younger players to improve their skills while working individually and in small groups through variety of exercises, games and contests.
The Boys Academy camp for boys ages 10-14 is set for June 29 through July 2 and offers campers the opportunity to receive personalized instruction from the Badgers coaching staff and players. Campers are divided by age and ability and receive a high level of individual instruction through technical skill sessions, as well as small and full-sided games. A resident option is available with the Boys Academy, in which campers are provided lodging and meals at Lakeshore Dormitory for the duration of the camp.
The Boys Elite Academy, held July 20-23, is the final camp offering of the summer and is designed to provide comprehensive instruction and training for more serious soccer players ages 14-18. Campers receive individualized instruction, as well as an introduction to speed and agility training and focus on the mental aspects of soccer. The camp also provides a recruiting seminar aimed at equipping campers with knowledge of the college recruiting process and how to gain the attention of college coaches. A resident option also is offered with the camp.
In addition, special training for goalkeepers is offered simultaneously with both the Boys Academy and Boys Elite Academy camps. Campers participating in any of the three camps offered this summer will receive a soccer camp T-shirt.
