The Wisconsin mens soccer team kicks off its spring exhibition season at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against Loyola (Ill.), in a match to be held at the Sportscore Complexes in Rockford, Ill.
The game is the first action for the Badgers since a scoreless tie against Michigan in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament in November.
The team went 9-7-3 in the 2008 season, and returns 21 athletes from last years roster. Among the returning players are second-team All-Big Ten players Scott Lorenz, Taylor Waspi and Eric Conklin, as well as Big Ten All-Freshman team member Colin Monasterio.
The Ramblers went 12-6-4 last season, and played in the NCAA tournament after winning the Horizon League tournament title.
