FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A memorable season for the University of Wisconsin’s men’s soccer team concluded with a trip to the NCAA round of 32 this season, UW’s first berth in the Big Dance in 18 years.

And for AJ Cochran and Tomislav Zadro the dream season never ended.

The duo has spent this past weekend competing in the 2014 MLS Draft Combine, looking to improve their stock as the MLS Draft date of January 15 approaches.

"To see both Tomo and AJ selected to the MLS Combine is something every college player in the US strives for,” UW head coach John Trask said. “It’s a great honor they have the opportunity to show their true qualities in front of pro teams and compete against some of the best players in the country.

The Wisconsin soccer program is very proud of what these two players have achieved here in Madison and will achieve in the future."

The Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, Cochran recently inked a deal with Generation adidas, declaring his intention to forgo his senior season at Wisconsin and turn pro. The St. Louis, Mo., native guided UW to its first NCAA tournament appearance in nearly two decades. He also anchored a back line that earned seven shutouts in 2013, while allowing just seven goals in Big Ten play.

The junior tallied six points on three goals in 2013, including a pair of game winners. His most memorable offensive performance came in a 4-3 comeback win over defending NCAA champion Indiana on Oct. 11, when Cochran recorded a pair of goals in the final 17 minutes of action to lead UW to victory in its conference home opener.

Zadro earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2013 and was named a first-team All-Big Ten performer for the second time in three seasons. The senior missed time due to surgery mid-season, but returned to help UW finish the regular-season 8-1-1.

The Toronto, Ontario native recorded 16 points on four goals and team-best eight assists. Zadro was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 9, 2013) and was also named to College Soccer News' and Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week (Sept. 9, 2013).
