In a role that includes recruiting, scouting, coaching and player development, among other things, Sarachan was instrumental in helping both Tomislav Zadro (2013 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year) and Nick Janus earn 2013 All-Big Ten honors.

Sarachan also aided in UW achieving double-digit wins for the second time in four seasons, tallying 14 victories in 2013, the most at UW since the team won 20 in 1995.

The Gurnee, Ill., native also helped the Badgers extend the nation's longest active home unbeaten streak to 14 matches in 2014, capping off the home slate with a win over Milwaukee on Nov. 21, 2013, UW's first NCAA tournament home victory since 1995.

A rising young talent in coaching, Sarachan was asked to join the coaching staff for the U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team training camp and work with some of the nation's premier age-group talent during the summer of 2014.

A former midfielder, Sarachan brings experience from both the professional and collegiate coaching levels to the UW men's soccer program.

An assistant coach on the Galaxy's U-14 and U-16 teams, Ian Sarachan is the son of longtime MLS and U.S. Men's National Team coach Dave Sarachan. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Sarachan helped the Flames reach the Elite Eight of the 2007 NCAA Division 1 Men's Soccer Tournament. Following college, he joined the prestigious Wasserman Media Group as a sports agent to learn the business side of the game.
