2013-14 (Freshman): Rowed with the novice 8 crew that took second place and the novice four boat that took first at the Head of the Huron regatta in the fall of 2013...competed with the freshmen eight boat that finished second to another Wisconsin boat and the second freshmen four boat that won the race in the meet against Minnesota and Milwaukee School of Engineering...sat third seat in the second freshmen eight boat that finished number one during the International Rowing Association National Championships in June.

High School: Rowed for four years and was team captain his senior year...Rowed for the Junior National Men's Sweep Development Team in Pittsburgh in 2012...awarded Most Spirited Rower (2010), Most Valuable Rower (2011, 2012), and Spirit of AJR Award(2013) during his multiple competitions for the Annapolis Junior Rowing club...competed with the 8+ boat that took12th place at the 2013 US Junior National Rowing Championships...rowed with the varsity 4+ crew that took fifth at the 2012 US Junior Rowing Club National Championships.

Personal:Parents are Dan and Kathy...has a twin brother named Devon, who competes on the club cycling team at the University of Colorado-Boulder...intended major is biological systems.

Reasons for choosing UW-Madison: I chose to row at UW-Madison for the tremendous coaching staff and tradition of excellence, the incredible academic programs, the Midwest lifestyle and, of course, the cheese curds.

What Wisconsin Rowing means to you: Being part of something so much bigger than myself at one of the best universities in the world is an immensely humbling experience, and I look forward to trying to make boats move fast while rowing for Wisconsin. Free gear and chocolate milk are also pretty nice perks.
