Men's hockey introduces pre-game youth tunnels

MADISON, Wis. –- The Wisconsin men’s hockey team is inviting area youth to help welcome the Badgers to the ice pre-game at select home games this season.

The team has experimented this year before three of its first four home games and has watched the numbers grow to nearly 100 youth ushering the Badgers onto the ice for its games.

Badger fans, ages 4-12, can sign up to form a tunnel outside the Badgers’ locker room in the lower level of the Kohl Center and welcome the team as they walk to the ice prior to the start of select home games. These home games include (click on a game to register):

Friday, Dec. 6 vs. Penn State, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 14 vs. Colorado College, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 11 vs. Michigan, 7 p.m. 
Saturday, Jan. 25 vs. Ohio State, 7 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 21 vs. Michigan State, 8 p.m.

Participants are responsible for their own tickets to each game. Children will be escorted to the lower level of the Kohl Center by Wisconsin Athletics. Parents and guardians are not permitted to accompany their children to the youth tunnel. Each child must submit a waiver signed by their parent/guardian to participate in the youth tunnel. The waiver will be sent via e-mail following online registration.
