MADISON, Wis. -- Former Badger captain and NCAA champion Adam Burish added another accomplishment to his resume this past spring as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks - Stanley Cup champion.
Now the Madison native will share his time with the world's most famous trophy.
"I grew up in Madison and my family still lives here," said Burish. "While winning the Stanley Cup was a great experience, it will be exciting to get to share it with the people and the city. Madison has been an important part of my life, as has the university, so this is a chance to say thank you."
Join Burish on Wed., Aug. 18 between 10 a.m. and noon at the Kohl Center to view the Cup and get autographs with the hometown hero.
Fans can line up at Gate B of the Kohl Center beginning at 8 a.m. for a chance to get an autograph and take photos.
Burish and the Cup will only be available during this two-hour block of time, so should more people come than he can meet with, he will make an appearance with the Cup just before the noon hour outside the Kohl Center for a final photo opportunity.
Those attending will be responsible for their own parking.
