MADISON, Wis. -- Paul Braun has been calling Wisconsin men's hockey games since the 1973-74 season began. That is 40 years of Badger hockey games on the air.

He has called games on the radio on WIBA 1310 AM, and on WTSO 1070 AM when the two stations were competitors. He's been a part of UW simulcasts with his voice heard both on the radio and on television. He has been on Fox Sports, Midwest Sports Channel and Wisconsin Public Television, as well.

While still the live TV voice of Badger hockey on Fox Sports Wisconsin, Braun is reuniting with former broadcast partner and longtime Wisconsin goaltending coach Bill Howard to call Friday's game against Michigan on WIBA-AM 1310 and the statewide Badger Radio Network.

Over the years, Braun has called games with Howard, Mike Lucas, Bill Brophy, Rob Andringa, Tom Sagissor, John Johannson, Barry Richter, Bob Leu, Phil Mendel, Tony Granato, George Gwozdecky and Mike Cerniglia, among others.

Braun has also served as TV host for Badger coaches' shows and year-end highlight movies.

Brian Posick is the current UW men's hockey radio play-by-play announcer, and will assist with Friday's broadcast for the Michigan game. With an 8 p.m. CT start, Friday's pregame show begins at 7:30 p.m.

The game will also air on Sirius XM College Sports Nation-Channel 91.
