Zach Remiker takes on a new role with the men's hockey program. In addition to entering his ninth year with the teams as video coordinator, he is also the Director of Hockey Operations. This all comes after spending the prior three years as a student assistant in Wisconsin's video services.
Remiker spent most of his time as a student assistant helpng video for the UW football program, but also served the Badger track and field program and the swimming program, with their video needs.
A 2003 graduate of Wisconsin with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing, management and human resources, Remiker spent five years working for the athletic department in the mail room. He also worked four years on weekend security at Camp Randall Stadium and three years in concessions for hockey and basketball at the Kohl Center.
Remiker's duties include creating highlight films, taping games, assisting coaches with film breakdowns, creating teaching tapes and helping with media video requests, among other responsibilities. He now adds team travel, budgeting and scheduling to his list of duties.
The Two Rivers, Wis., native lives in Madison.
