Andy Hrodey is in his 15th season handling athletic training duties for the UW hockey team after being hired as a full-time staff member for the Badger athletic training staff in 1999-2000.
He returned to Wisconsin from the United States Military Academy where he served as a full-time athletic trainer for both the hockey and football teams.
Previously at the UW, Hrodey was a graduate assistant during the 1996-97 and 1997-98 seasons, working as a team trainer for both the UW football and wrestling programs.
A native of Sheldon, Ill., Hrodey attended the University of Illinois and worked as a student athletic trainer with the football, men's basketball, women's swimming and wrestling programs.
Hrodey is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and received his bachelor's degree from Illinois (1996) and his master's degree from Wisconsin (1998). He is a licensed Athletic Trainer.
A Monona, Wis., resident, Hrodey and his wife, Liz, have a son, A.J., and daughter, Allie.
