MADISON, Wis. –
The Wisconsin men’s golf team will travel to the 7,239-yard, par 72 Finkbine Golf Course to participate in the 20th-Annual Hawkeye-Great River Invitational April 14-15.

The Badgers will be competing in a 12-team field, including six Big Ten universities.  The tournament field includes Iowa, Charlotte, Iowa State, Kansas, Miami University, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Washington State and Wisconsin.

The traveling team will consist of Chris Meyer, Zach Balit, Thomas O'Bryan, John Gullberg and Rob Jacobsen.

Senior Chris Meyer and sophomore Zach Balit led the Badgers in their last tournament, the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, finishing tied for 27th place shooting 9-over par. Balit had season bests for 18, 36 and 54-holes, and finished one stroke off his career 54-hole best with a 75-79-71—225. Meyer shot 76-76-73—225.

The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday in a shotgun format and the final 18 will be played on Sunday. Play begins at 9 a.m. on both days. Live scoring can be followed at golfstat.com.
