Wisconsin golfers wrap up season in Pebble Beach, Calif.

The Wisconsin men’s golf team wraps up its fall season in Pebble Beach, Calif., with the St. Mary’s Invitational from Nov. 9-10.

The Badgers hope to continue with strong play

After a two week break, the Badgers enter the tournament coming off of their best team finish of the season. Wisconsin placed seventh at the Memphis Intercollegiate in Memphis, Tenn. from Oct. 19-20 and hopes the sound performance will stay with them as they travel to California.

Freshman Michael Sorenson and senior Jordan Elsen lead the team

Elsen led the Badgers at the first two tournaments of the season, the Gopher Invitational and the Wolverine Intercollegiate. The senior currently boasts an 18-hole average of 73.0.

Despite his young age, Sorenson is not far behind Elsen. Sorenson’s 18-hole average is a 73.81, which is partly a result of his ability to lead the team in the last two tournaments: the Alister Mackenzie Invitational and the Memphis Intercollegiate.
