Wolf Run 2nd Rnd Results 
ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- The Badgers moved up to eighth place with a 22-over par 299-291--590 after two rounds one of the 54-hole Wolf Run Intercollegiate at Zionsville, Ind.
Ohio State shot the second-best team score of round two to move into first place with a 2-under par 285-281--566. Illinois had the best team score of round two and is the only other team under par with a 1-under par 289-278--567.
Indiana's Brant Peaper set the pace in the tournament with the top score in the first round at 6-under 65. He added a 1-under 70 in the matinee and is tied with Boo Timko of Ohio State who shot 69-66--135, 7-under par.
Playing in the first tournament of the year, UW was led by sophomore Thomas O'Bryan who is 3-over par and tied for 17th with 73-72--145. Senior Chris Meyer is tied at 22nd with a 4-over par 73-73--146. Anthony Aicher improved his second round score to move into a tie for 47th at 8-over 72-72--150. Robert Jacobsen returned from injury a year ago and is tied for 53rd with 10-over 78-74--152. John Gullberg is tied for 62nd at 12-over with 75-79--154.
Badger coach Michael Burcin commented on the play of the Badgers and the course. "We are very excited about today's rounds and an opportunity tomorrow to get our year off to a great start. Every player contributed with good rounds today."
Burcin continued, "The afternoon round was by far the best round our program has had since we arrived as a staff. This is a national championship type golf course which is extremely difficult".
Play continues with 18 holes Sunday at 8 a.m.
