IOWA CITY, Iowa-  Wisconsin finished in eighth place at the Hawkeye-Great River Invitational on Sunday, Apr. 14. UW improved from 11th place after the first day. The Badgers posted their second best 54-hole score of the year with 303-300-295—898.

Thomas O'Bryan led the Badgers finishing in 17th place with a 5-over par 74-71-76—221.

Kansas won the tournament, recording a 286-290-291—867. Leading all individuals in the tournament was Kansas’s Chris Gilbert, who posted a 5-under par 72-68-71—211.

John Gullberg shot a career-best 70 in the final round and finished tied for 18th, with a 54-hole career mark at 6-over par 78-74-70—222. Zach Balit tied for 41st and carded a 13-over par 77-78-74—229. Rob Jacobsen and Chris Meyer both tied for 49th. Jacobsen posted a 74-77-80—231 and Meyer finished with a 78-78-75—231. 

Wisconsin will conclude the season at the Big Ten Championships in Frenck Lick, Ind. on Apr. 26-28.
