DADE CITY, FLA.- After the first day of the USF Invitational, hosted by USF, the Badgers are in 16th place after shooting a 22-over par 310 in the first round of the 54-hole invitational at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.
South Carolina and North Carolina State are tied for first place, both with a 1-under par 287. Virginia and Mercer are tied for third at 1-over par 289.
North Carolina State’s Albin Choi, South Carolina’s Dykes Harbin and Kentucky’s Stephen Powers are all tied for first as individuals. All three players shot 4-under par 68.
John Gullberg and Thomas O'Bryan led Wisconsin. Both players shot a 3-over par 75 and are tied for 33rd.
Chris Meyer shot a 7-over par 79 and are tied for 71st. Rob Jacobsen shot a 9-over par 81 and is tied for 82nd. Thomas Welk shot a 10-over par 82 and is tied for 86th.
Brady Keegan is competing as an individual and shot a 7-over par 79.
The tournament continues with the second round tomorrow morning, and concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
