         <description><![CDATA[FRENCK LICK, Ind. -- The Wisconsin men's golf team wrapped up its season by improving one spot in the Big Ten Championships to finish in 11th with a 317-326-300-306--1249. The Badgers were able to jump ahead of Nebraska in the last round of the 72-hole tournament.For the fifth-straight year, Illinois won the Big Ten Championships with a 23-over par 301-291-292-291--1175. Finishing in first place individually was Luke Guthrie from Illinois with a 5-under par 72-71-67-73--283.Freshman Thomas O'Bryan led the Badgers for the second time this season, finishing tied for 31st with a 80-78-73-77--308. Chris Meyer was not far behind, finishing tied for 39th with a 76-85-73-76--310.Zach Balit shot his best 18-holes of the tournament in the last round and finished tied for 46th with a 81-79-77-75--312. Balit shot 3-over par for the Badgers in the fourth round, which was the best of the day for Wisconsin.Thomas Welk finished tied for 55th with an 80-84-77-80--321 and teammate Anthony Aicher shot his best round of the tournament, finishing in 59th place with an 83-85-82-78--328.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Wisconsin men's golf travels to Frenck Lick, Ind. to compete in their last tournament of the 2012 season at the Big Ten Championships April 27-29.The tournament will be played on the award-winning Pete Dye course, ranked the number one golf course in Indiana by Golfweek Magazine.The traveling team will consist of Anthony Aicher, Chris Meyer, Zach Balit, Thomas O'Bryan and Thomas Welk. Chris Meyer has led the Badgers in their last two tournaments, coming in tied for 38th at the Boilermaker Invitational and tied for 18th at the Hawkeye-Great River Entertainment Invitational.Anthony Aicher leads the team with a 74.46 stroke per round average and led the Badgers in seven of the ten tournaments this season.In the final event of the 2010-11 season, the Badgers finished in 11th place at the Big Ten Championships. Wisconsin shot a 312-293-313-312=1230 for the 72-hole tournament. Illinois won their third consecutive Big Ten Championships title with a score of 1160.Christopher Meyer tied for 32nd place, carding a 78-72-77-77=304.
