LOS ANGELES -- Thousands of Badgers fans are expected to descend on downtown Los Angeles Sunday afternoon for Wisconsin Football’s Rose Bowl Pep Rally starting at 12:30 p.m. (PT).
Held in LA Live outside the Staples Center, Badger fans will be treated to a fun and spirit-filled afternoon. The UW Band and Spirit Squad will be on hand to entertain fans and play all the favorites.
Rose Bowl Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne will be part of festivities. Of course, the highlight will be the appearance of Barry Alvarez and the three-time defending Big Ten champion Badgers.
Following the pep rally, Badger fans are invited to enjoy another appearance by the UW Band and Spirit Squad at The Happiest Place on Earth. The performance inside Disneyland park will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. (PT).
On gameday, Badgers fans will not want to miss the Rose Bowl Blast/Huddle, the Official Pre-Game Tailgate Party of Wisconsin Athletics presented in partnership with the National W Club and the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
Highlighting the Rose Bowl Blast/Huddle are scheduled appearances by Ron Dayne and new UW head football coach Gary Andersen.
Located on the 11th and 15th fairways of Brookside Golf Course immediately west of the stadium, the Rose Bowl Blast/Huddle includes brats, chicken sandwiches, Wisconsin cheese, chips, cookies, beer, soda and water. Bloody Marys will be available for purchase. The tailgate runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (PT).
The event also includes special appearances by the UW Marching Band, Bucky Badger and the UW Spirit Squad. Live music will be provided by one of LA's best classic rock bands, BAD PENNY.
Tickets are $77 (in advance) per adult and $50 per child (12 and under). Tickets are $100 for adults, if available, day-of-game.
Badgers fans headed to California are encouraged to visit Bowl Central for the latest updates on fan events associated with the Rose Bowl Game.
