MADISON, Wis. -- Badger fans from across the nation are invited to several fan events in conjunction with the 2013 Rose Bowl Game.
On Sunday, Dec. 30, join thousands of Badger fans outside the Staples Center in LA Live and show your Badger spirit at the official Wisconsin football pep rally. Barry Alvarez and the three-time defending Big Ten Champion Wisconsin football team are scheduled to appear. The UW Spirit Squad, the UW Marching Band and other special guests will also be on hand for this terrific afternoon celebration. The free event gets underway at 12:30 p.m. PST.
Then on Tuesday, Jan. 1, before the Badgers make their third consecutive appearance in the Rose Bowl Game, fans can make their own appearance at the Rose Bowl Blast/Huddle, the Official Pre-Game Tailgate Party of Wisconsin Athletics presented in partnership with the National W Club and the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
Located on the 11th and 15th fairways of Brookside Golf Course immediately west of the stadium, the Rose Bowl Blast/Huddle includes brats, chicken sandwiches, Wisconsin cheese, chips, cookies, beer, soda and water. Bloody Mary's will be available for purchase. The tailgate runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST.
You will feel like you are tailgating right outside Camp Randall Stadium with special appearances by the UW Marching Band, Bucky Badger and the UW Spirit Squad. Live music will be provided by one of LA's best classic rock bands, BAD PENNY.
