MADISON, Wis. -- With the Big Ten Conference’s season concluding this past weekend, it’s time to recognize the student-athletes for their performances. For the third year in a row, the Big Ten Network will announce award winners live on its Big Ten Tonight: All-Conference Selection Special at 7 p.m. (CT) tonight.

Awards that will be announced during the 30-minute show include the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, as chosen by the coaches. The Dave McClain Coach of the Year will be presented along with the Offensive and Defensive Linemen of the Year, as chosen by the media. In addition, the All-Big Ten teams, selected by both the coaches and the media, will also be revealed.

The Badgers have several worthy candidates for the All-Big Ten teams, but there are three players that could land one of the prestigious individual awards. John Clay (Offensive Player), O’Brien Schofield (Defensive Player) and Chris Borland (Freshman) have all put together impressive seasons that could garner them postseason accolades.
