Wide Receiver Isaac Anderson
On playing after his dropped catches: My teammates told me that I needed to keep my head up and put the dropped catches behind me. I appreciate the opportunity that coach gave me after I dropped the second one to call a slant route for me because it gave me a lot of confidence going forward.

On the atmosphere of the game: The whole week has been focused on the rivalry and the fans made it a live atmosphere. It was good to be out there and make some plays for the team and the fans.

On the teams attitude at halftime: The mood in the locker room was just fine. We knew that what we had to do in the second half was secure the ball and we stuck to the game plan and prevailed.

Quarterback Dustin Sherer
On the rivalry with Minnesota: Ive been here for four years and playing against Minnesota is always special. It doesnt matter what each teams record is because both teams are going to play hard. Last year they were 1-9 and they made it a close game, so for us to battle back after committing three turnovers in the first half was important to the win.

On improving in the second half with the help of the fans: I got my feet settled in a started making plays. With the excitement that my teammates brought, it made it easier for me to be comfortable. Being at home and having our fans bring the intensity is really important to our success.

On what this game meant to the seniors: I think it is huge for the seniors to get this last win against Minnesota. They didnt lose to them while at Wisconsin and to continue the tradition and keeping the axe here is a big deal to them.

Wide Receiver David Gilreath
On the team finishing well: The way that we have been approaching practice has been good for the team. We finish every practice playing Wisconsin versus Wisconsin and challenging each other. By doing that, we are able to focus better during a four-quarter game.

On the teams emotions at halftime: We knew that we hurt ourselves a lot more than they did anything to us. We realized that we needed to play our football and I think we did a good job of that in the second half.

Offensive lineman John Moffitt
On the comeback win: I think it shows excellent character. Things werent working out in the first half and we werent putting together drives, down 21-7 to come back from that. The defense put four points up on the board themselves so those kinds of momentum swings are amazing. I was thinking, right before we went on the field after the second safety, about the momentum you have from that and the adrenaline and the confidence you have is an unbelievable thing.

On the gamesmanship between the third and fourth quarters: The important thing is you see how fast momentum swings. Its important that you be relentless and keep going especially in rivalry games because you never know whats going to happen and no one is going to quit.

On the play of Dustin Sherer: You have to keep plugging away. You cant have a bad pass or a bad block in my case [affect you]. Things are eventually going to work out.

Wide receiver Nick Toon
On his comfort level with the offense: The more time I get out on the field, the more comfortable I feel. It feels good to get more snaps and hopefully I can keep making progress.

On the scoring drive that tied the game at 24-24: It was a big momentum-swinger. I just went out there and caught the ball and did what I could with it. Thats all I can do.

On becoming bowl-eligible: It feels good. Weve gone through some things this year and it feels good to have all the hard work we put in pay off.

Offensive lineman Gabe Carimi:
On getting the win: It was unbelievable. It was a great experience. We did some things that put us in a situation like that, but to have three turnovers and still come out with a victory was a really good feeling.

On the teams play in the second half: We just came out fired up. It didnt matter what the score was, we knew we were going to score some points. The defense played solid for all the third quarter and only gave up one touchdown, which was unbelievable.

On carrying the Paul Bunyan Axe after the game: That was unbelievable. Last year I didnt get to hold it because I was a freshman and I was like the runt of the litter that kept getting kicked off. This year I was determined to get a hold of it. It felt great keeping that axe here.
