• Zach's Day with the Badgers

MADISON, Wis. -- One of the benefits of being a student-athlete at the University of Wisconsin is the opportunity to reach out and assist others through some type of community service. The Badger football team makes regular visits to the American Family Children's Hospital during the season and, earlier this fall, through a UW Athletics initiative called "Wish Upon A Badger," was able to provide an extra special experience for one young boy from the area.
Zach Olson, a 10-year-old boy from Janesville, Wis., who has undergone treatment for cancer on his spinal cord, recently got to spend an afternoon with the Badgers, touring the team's faclities, including the football offices, weight room and locker room. He was also the Badgers' guest at practice, meeting some of the players and getting in a little practice of his own.
