The 411
Wisconsin continues practice today and will hit the field at 5 p.m.

Seizing the moment
Two issues that hampered the University of Wisconsin offense throughout the 2008 season - turning turnovers into touchdowns and finishing drives - were never more obvious than during last year's loss at Michigan. As UW (7-2, 4-2 Big Ten Conference) prepares to host Michigan (5-5, 1-5) this week, it is instructive to note that the issues that hampered UW in the '08 Big Ten opener have been addressed successfully, writes Jeff Potrykus for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Schofield to play in 85th East-West Shrine Game
Wisconsin senior defensive end O'Brien Schofield has accepted an invitation to play in the 85th East-West Shrine Game. The Game will be held Jan. 23, 2010, in Orlando, Fla., kicking off at 2 p.m. (CT).  Read about it with this release.

Jamison to share spotlight with fellow seniors
We told you about Terrance Jamison in our "What you won't find on Facebook" section yesterday and now you can read about the former player turned student assistant. Jim Polzin did an article on Jamison for Madison.com.

Clichés are thrown around a lot in the game of football, but ask anyone within the Wisconsin football program and you'll likely get the same answer: The sky is the limit for wide receiver Nick Toon. Read  more about the sophomore wide receiver with this article by Jordan Schelling from the Badger Herald.

What you won't find on Facebook

Before the Purdue game, O'Brien Schofield took fellow defensive lineman J.J. Watt to his barber to get a design etched into his hair. Schofield and John Clay usually have fancy haircuts on game days and apparently Watt wanted in on the fun.

Note of the Day
Saturday's game against Michigan will be the 63rd meeting between the two teams. The home team has won each of the last five games between the two teams.
