WEAR RED at Camp Randall

Starting with this Saturdays football game against The Citadel, and continuing throughout the season, Wisconsin football coach Bret Bielema is asking fans to WEAR RED this week and every week at Camp Randall Stadium.

In his weekly press conference, Bielema unveiled the idea to the media to spread the word to the general public.

I love the red and white, but if we could leave the white caps, the white T-shirts, the gray T-shirts behind, Id love to walk into Camp Randall and see a sea of red for everybody in the stands, said Bielema. I think one of the things I began to see and experience in college football is if you can walk into an environment like that, with everybody in one color, its kind of an overwhelming thing for everybody to be a part of.

The UW Athletic Department is now asking all fans in attendance at Badger football games for the rest of the season to dress in all red, and help make Camp Randall Stadium a Sea of Red.

I think if you look out and you see a sea of red out there in the stands, with all the activities that our fans do and the creation that our student sections have, itll have a huge effect at Camp Randall, said Bielema.
