MADISON, Wis. -- With the season quickly approaching, a limited number of tickets are still available for Wisconsin's season-opening game against LSU in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Aug. 30.
Tickets are available at four different price levels. This is a great opportunity to join thousands of your fellow Badger fans in Houston for this much-anticipated match-up.
Before the game, the place to be will be at the J.J. Watt Foundation Tailgate presented by Northwestern Mutual.
Serving as Wisconsin's official pregame party and hosted by Badgers great J.J. Watt, this all-inclusive tailgate is the spot for UW fans in Houston. Plus, all proceeds benefit the Justin J. Watt Foundation and will support programs providing after-school opportunities for middle school-aged children.
The event runs from 5-7:30 p.m. inside the Houston Methodist Training Center on Saturday, Aug. 30. Tickets are on sale now.
Conveniently located immediately across the street from NRG Stadium in the indoor practice facility of the Houston Texans, this fun event will be a great way for Badgers fans to escape the Texas heat while getting ready for the big game.
In addition to the event host, Badgers great and Houston Texans star J.J. Watt, UW Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez and Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne will also be on hand.
Fans will want to be there early to enjoy music and entertainment. There'll be terrific food provided by Killen's Texas Barbeque, cheese by Muldoon Dairy and Emmi Roth and plenty of beer, soda and water. Fans will also enjoy interactive games and activities provided by the Houston Texans, a performance by the Texans cheerleaders, an appearance by Bucky Badger and the UW Spirit Squad and much more.
Tickets are $60 for adults and $25 for youth 12 and under. Tickets include admission to the tailgate, plus all the food and beverage you care to enjoy before the game. Space is limited, so order your tickets today.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Justin J. Watt Foundation. Established in 2013, the foundation has already donated more than $500,000 to provide after-school opportunities for middle school-aged children.
