MADISON, Wis. -- So far, four game times have been announced for the 2013 Wisconsin football season. Three of them are at night. For a team that is 31-6 in its last 37 games under the lights, that should be a welcome development.
The latest night game to be added to the schedule is on Sept. 14 when the Badgers play at Arizona State. That game will kick off at 9:30 p.m. CT and be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.
This will be the fourth meeting between Wisconsin and ASU, with the Sun Devils leading the all-time series 2-1. UW won the most recent game, 20-19, on Sept. 18, 2010 in Camp Randall Stadium when Jay Valai blocked an Arizona State extra point with 4:09 left in the fourth quarter. ASU won the only previous meeting in Tempe, 55-7, on Sept. 21, 1968.
This will be the fifth time in the last six years Wisconsin will play at least three night games. For the first time in school history, the Badgers will play three night games on the road in the same season.
Overall, Wisconsin owns a 37-25 record in night games. Dating back to 1995, the Badgers are 31-6 in their last 37 games at night.
