MADISON, Wis. -- The 2011 football spring game will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at Camp Randall Stadium. Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez announced Monday that tickets are $5 and all proceeds will benefit the UW-Madison School of Nursing campaign to build a new School of Nursing building.

"This is going to be a great opportunity for the School of Nursing for two reasons," says School of Nursing Dean Katharyn May. "Ticket sales will benefit our campaign, and the event, as well as the publicity leading up to it, gives us a chance to tell a bit of our story to the wider community--to folks who love UW and football, but may not have heard much about UW nursing."

"UW-Madison nursing grads are obviously doing important work in health care throughout the world," says UW-Madison Athletic Director Barry Alvarez.  "The athletic department is proud to offer its support to that mission."

The Badgers are coming off a season in which they won the Big Ten title and advanced to the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1999. UW finished the season ranked seventh in the Associated Press poll.
