Wisconsin vs. Iowa
Oct. 17, 2009
Camp Randall Stadium - Madison, Wis.

Team Notes
• Iowa's 20-10 win snapped Wisconsin's five-game winning streak in Homecoming contests.
• The victory also gives Iowa a 42-41-2 advantage in the teams' all-time series. UW owns a 26-18-1 advantage in games played in Madison.
• The loss was Wisconsin's first in a home game that kicked off at 11 a.m. under head coach Bret Bielema. The Badgers are now 15-1 in 11 a.m. home games under Bielema.
• Wisconsin forced a fumble in the third quarter for its 17th forced turnover of the season.
• The Badgers have now held four of their seven opponents this season to fewer than 300 yards of total offense, including two straight. The Badgers held opponents below the 300-yard mark just three times in 2008.
• By holding Iowa to 65 net yards rushing, the Badgers have yet to allow a Big Ten opponent to gain 100 yards or more on the ground this season.
• In all, UW has held five of its seven opponents to 100 rushing yards or fewer this season.

Offensive Notes
• Freshman running back Montee Ball scored his first career touchdown on a 10-yard run in the first quarter. Ball registered career-highs with 21 yards on five carries.
• Freshman quarterback Curt Phillips saw action in one series during the second quarter, his first action since the Wofford game on Sept. 19.

Defensive Notes
• Senior defensive end O'Brien Schofield, who came into today's game leading the nation in TFLs, added 2.0 more today to bring his season total to 16.5. Though only seven games into the season, that already is tied for the 14th-best single-season total in school history.
• Freshman linebacker Chris Borland forced his second fumble on the season on a third-quarter sack. Schofield recovered the fumble, his first fumble recovery this season and second of his career.
• Borland registered a career-high 10 tackles. He also set a career-high with 3.0 TFLs.
• Sophomore J.J. Watt finished with a career-high eight tackles, including a career-best and game-high 4.0 TFLs for 16 yards.

Special Teams Notes
• Junior Maurice Moore's 25-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter was a career-long return.
