Mark Taurisani enters his first season as the director of football operations.
Taurisani spent the last two seasons as a football operations coordinator after being a football operations assistant for the previous two years with the Wisconsin football program.
In his role as director of football operations, Taurisani is responsible for team logistics and day-to-day operations. That includes organizing fall camp, team game weekend arrangements (home and away), weekly team schedules, bowl game preparations, spring football schedule and logistics, as well as high school football camps, assisting with recruiting functions and additional external relations activities.
Taurisani spent the summer of 2005 as a training camp assistant with the Seattle Seahawks. In that role he helped with set-up and operational duties, transportation and scheduling.
Taurisani is a native of Utica, N.Y. He graduated from SUNY Fredonia (B.A. in sociology/sports in 2003) where he captained the baseball team and earned first-team all-conference honors. He earned a master's degree in sport administration from Louisville in December of 2005.
