UNLV fell short in many areas the past several football seasons, and no shortcoming was more pronounced than the Rebels' inability to stop opposing running attacks. Heck, forget stopping them, the Rebels often failed to even slow them, writes Mark Anderson in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The National Collegiate Football Awards Association recognizes 15 awards that have announced watch lists. Ten different Badgers appear on those watch lists, trailing only Ohio State and North Carolina in terms of number of different players to be honored. Only Georgia has players on more lists (13) than Wisconsin (12).
