The Badgers will drill in a short practice session Friday morning before meeting up again in the evening for a mock game inside Camp Randall that will serve to acclimate newcomers to the team's gameday itinerary.

After some early-morning work in the weight room, the Badgers were greeted by a shortened schedule for Thursday's practice. After their abbreviated session, head coach Bret Bielema surprised the players with a chance to cool off -- a team trip to a local swimming pool -- before they reconvene for a full day of work Friday.
Things got a little more specific for the Badgers on Wednesday as they began delving into preparation for their opener against Northern Iowa. The team conducted a 30-period practice in full pads at Camp Randall before the Badgers' newly-named captains -- LT Rick Wagner, C Travis Frederick, RB Montee Ball, LB Chris Borland, LB Mike Taylor and S Shelton Johnson -- met with members of the media after practice.
Wednesday also marked the release of the much-anticipated second episode of The Camp 2012. The second installment of the four-week, behind-the-scenes series offers an inside look at three players being awarded scholarships, some of the volunteer work being done during camp and exclusive highlights of UW's scrimmage.
