MADISON, Wis. - After excelling off the court and in the classroom this past season, Dan Fahey and Jared Berggren were named to the 2011-12 Honors Court, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced today.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts student-athletes possess off the court, and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, an athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria, which includes a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.

Berggren has appeared in 84 games in his UW career, including 36 starts a year ago, when he averaged 10.5 points per game and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. Fahey has appeared in 17 career games, including nine in 2011-12.

Fahey and Berggren are just two of the five total seniors who return to the Badgers for 2012-13 campaign. UW is coming off of back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances and its third-winningest season in program history.
