MADISON, Wis. – Moments after the Badgers’ Sweet 16 game against Syracuse, Bo Ryan took a moment to reflect on what his team had accomplished.

"They did some pretty good things that they'll be able to step away,” Ryan said. “Once the sting of this eases up a bit, they'll realize what they've accomplished and how well they played for the name on the front of the jersey.”

That time has come.

Join the Badgers on April 24 to celebrate another exciting season and send off seniors Jordan Taylor and Rob Wilson in style at the 2012 Wisconsin Men's Basketball Sweet 16 Reception.

Fans are invited to re-live a 2011-12 season that featured 26 wins and an unforgettable trip to the Sweet 16, while hear from Bo Ryan, “Voice of the Badgers” Matt Lepay and others.

The event, which brings the team, coaching staff, spirit squad, band and even Bucky Badger together at the Kohl Center, is open to the public.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with a cash bar and cocktail buffet available prior to the program. Beginning at 6:15 p.m., Lepay will emcee a lineup that includes a look at news and notes from the season, remarks from Ryan and the team's 2011-12 highlight video.

Tickets are available for $25 and can be ordered online through April 13. For those attending the reception, free parking will be available adjacent to the Kohl Center in Lot 91, beginning at 4:45 p.m.

There is plenty to celebrate following a season that saw the Badgers finish with 26 wins, third-best season in UW history, and finished just one game out of first in the Big Ten. Wisconsin advanced to the Sweet 16 as part of the program's 14th-consecutive NCAA tournament appearance.
