GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Wisconsin at Green Bay
Post-game quotes

On Green Bay hitting tough shots…
“The dribble penetration occurred, but if you noticed they didn’t get a lot of stuff going to the rim. They made some tough twos early, but it was the threes that really hurt us. If you’re taking away one thing, you tend to expose something else. When you (allow them to) shoot 50 percent from three, something else has to really go well for you.

By us playing from behind all the time, that was part of the reason for some of those turnovers. We were pushing, trying to make some things happen and some decisions got scattered. They hit shots. I’ve been doing this a long time and when people hit shots like that, it’s very difficult.”

On never getting separation on the scoreboard…
“The thing I did tell my players… down seven, six, eight , how many times did we get it down and keep clawing? I just felt like something had to happen in there two or three times for us to separate and go from three to five, four to eight points. Then maybe we come out on the left-hand side. But they came back and hit shots. We out-rebounded them, out-scored them in the paint. The turnovers were guys trying to hurry. I think that’s part of us always trying to climb out of the hole. They put pressure and I think we sped up just a little too much. I think that was obvious.”

On Trevon Hughes taking over the second half…
“Well, there were opportunities for him. They were using a lot of hands on us. If they’re going to do that away from the ball then sometimes you have to create alleys and create help situations. I thought when we were making our runs, that’s what we were doing a pretty good job of.”
