Sophomore Sam Dekker burst onto the scene last season like few Wisconsin players have. One of four true freshman to start a game under Bo Ryan, Dekker largely played the role of sixth man in 2012-13 and turned in 9.6 points per game. A wildly athletic player, Dekker has the ability and skill to score at the rim and from the outside, shooting 41.8 percent from 3-point range during Big Ten play. During UW's Canadian exhibition tour in August Dekker led the team in points (19.4), rebounds (8.2) and assists (3.6).
Dekker has scored in double figures in 46 of 73 career games with the Badgers.
