A relentless rebounder and maximum effort player, senior forward Mike Bruesewitz quickly endeared himself to the Badgers fan base as a freshman. Despite being 6-foot-6, Bruesewitz often plays larger than that, defending the low-post and tracking down offensive rebounds. Over the last three seasons at UW, Bruesewitz has evolved into a more than capable low-post banger, demonstrating the ability to step outside and knock down 3-pointers (45 3-pointers over the last two seasons) and distribute (owning the second-best assist-to-turnover ratio on the team in 2011-12).
The St. Paul, Minn., native burst onto the national scene in 2010-11 with big games in big situations. Bruesewitz scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half of a comeback win over No. 1 Ohio State (2/12/11) and then averaged 8.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game during UW's three 2011 NCAA Tournament games.
Career Has played in 131 career games (79 starts) Ranks eighth in UW history with 197 offensive rebounds
Bruesewitz averaged 8.7 points and 6.3 rebounds during UW's three 2011 NCAA Tournament games.
