Redshirt freshman George Marshall spent the 2011-12 season impressing the UW staff as Wisconsin's scout team point guard and learning from Jordan Taylor, prompting the All-American to gush, "I think the sky is the limit for George. You probably won't even remember I was here by the time he gets done."
Perhaps the quickest player on the team, Marshall has the ability to penetrate the lane as well as knock down shots from beyond the 3-point arc. Soft-spoken and humble, Marshall's quickness also makes him one of the team's peskiest on-ball defenders.
Career
Has played in 35 career games (6 starts)
One of 6 freshmen to start during the Bo Ryan era at Wisconsin
Second UW freshman to start the season opener under Ryan (joining Devin Harris, 2001)
