Wisconsin men's basketball coach Bo Ryan held his season-opening press conference on Monday
Humble and hard-working Wisconsin product, Evan Anderson enters his third season in the UW program after redshirting as a true freshman in 2010-11. Anderson adds tremendous size to the Badger front line. The lefty big-man brings a physical presence to the defensive end as he continues to develop a back-to-the-basket offensive game.
2012-13 Season Has appeared in 11 games ... recorded an assist against Nebraska on Feb. 26 ... scored a career-high three points against Samford on Dec. 29 ... tallied two points and a rebound against Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 4 ... scored two points in season opener against Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 11.

High School Earned all-state honorable mention honors and a first-team all-conference bid as a senior after averaging 10.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game ... also tabbed as a McDonald's All-American nominee ... averaged 8.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game in an injury-shortened junior season, but still earned all-state honorable mention honors from the Associated Press ... helped lead Eau Claire North to back-to-back state tournament appearances in 2008 and 2009 ... received All-Big Rivers Conference honorable mention as a sophomore, posting 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game ... spent freshman year playing at Stanley-Boyd High School ... was named second-team All-Cloverbelt Conference after posting per-game averages of 12.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.4 blocks as a freshman ... set school single-season record with 98 blocks
