A case of mononucleosis in the preseason forced junior Duje Dukan to take a redshirt this season and spend the year on scout team. But it might turn out to be the best thing for him.
Duje Dukan has appeared in 21 career games in his first two seasons at Wisconsin. The son of a Chicago Bulls executive, Dukan has basketball in his blood. Born in Croatia and raised in the Chicago area, he garnered attention late in his high school career. The combination of shooting range and his long, 6-8 frame provides a tough match-up from the wing. Dukan spent the summer of 2011 playing with the Croatian National Team in the U-20 European Championships in Bilbao, Spain.
Dukan saw action in eight games during his freshman campaign.
