A former team captain at Wisconsin, Sharif Chambliss enters his second season as the Badgers' video coordinator. Chambliss, who returned to his alma mater in 2010, was a two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten point guard, spending three seasons at Penn State and finishing his collegiate career with Wisconsin in 2005.
Chambliss returns to Wisconsin after serving as an interim assistant coach at UW-Platteville for the 2009-10 season. He also spent one season coaching at Francis Marion University and served on the staff at Milwaukee for two seasons under former UW assistant Rob Jeter.
After leading the Nittany Lions in scoring for two seasons, Chambliss transferred to Wisconsin to play for Bo Ryan prior to the 2003-04 season. Chambliss was a member of the Badgers' 2005 Elite Eight team, starting 30 games and leading the team in assists. Chambliss scored a combined 1,107 career points with Penn State and Wisconsin. Following his collegiate career, he played professionally in Portugal for two seasons.
A Racine, Wis., native, Chambliss earned his bachelor of science degree in life science communications from Wisconsin in 2005 and completed a master's degree in adult education from UW-Platteville in May of 2011.
