A tough and competitive forward, Mike Bruesewitz burst onto the national scene in 2010-11 with big games in big situations. Bruesewitz scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half of a comeback win over No. 1 Ohio State (2/12/11) and then averaged 8.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game during UW's three 2011 NCAA Tournament games. A relentless rebounder and maximum effort player, the St. Paul, Minn. native endeared himself to the Badger fanbase with his passion for the game. Bruesewitz has demonstrated the ability to bang down low with larger opponents but also step outside and knock down 3-pointers.
