Heading into his third year at UW, Ben Brust has cemented his reputation as one of the conference's most lethal outside threats. A dead-eye shooter with range well beyond the 3-point stripe, Brust equaled a UW record by knocking down seven 3-pointers in a game on two separate occasions last season and finished the year second on the team in both 3-point field goals (58) and shooting percentage (.389).
The junior guard played the role of sixth man for the Badgers in 2011-12, averaging 7.3 points and 21.3 minutes per game off the bench. Owning some of the fastest feet on the team, head coach Bo Ryan has said the guard comes off a screen as quick as any player he has ever coached. A committed student, Brust played in the prestigious 2010 Academic All-American Classic.
