Lucas at Large This will serve as a final snapshot of Jordan Taylor in his Wisconsin game jersey: Taylor politely answering all questions at his locker following Thursday's loss to Syracuse in an NCAA East Regional semifinal; Taylor dutifully staying true to his core beliefs despite the pain.
Wisconsin's defense held Syracuse 10 points below its season average and the Badgers connected on 14 3-pointers on the offensive end -- including six straight in a key second-half surge -- but it wasn't enough as the Orange advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 64-63 win over the Badgers.

Lucas at Large A nauseous Josh Gasser got his wake-up call at 12:30 a.m. Saturday. The UW sophomore guard was not green in honor of St. Patrick's Day, either. Mike Bruesewitz was watching a movie when he heard something that he didn't want to hear from Gasser, his road roommate. "Josh went to the bathroom," Bruesewitz related, "and he says, 'Mike, call Henry.'" Henry is Henry Perez-Guerra, the trainer for the UW men's basketball team.
Saturday, March 17 The Wisconsin Badgers are riding the nation's stingiest defense -- and admittedly a bit of luck -- back to the round of 16. The Badgers held the Southeastern Conference's two leading scorers in check Saturday night and Ryan Evans grabbed a crucial rebound with 2.1 seconds left to help Wisconsin fend off Vanderbilt 60-57 in the NCAA tournament.
