MADISON, Wis. -- Eight members of the Wisconsin men's basketball team paid a visit to the American Family Children's Hospital on Oct. 24 in an effort to raise the spirits of young patients.
Zach Bohannon, Ben Brust, Sam Dekker, Duje Dukan, Frank Kaminsky, Nigel Hayes, Zak Showalter and Jordan Smith shared their Badgers spirit with the children, visiting room-to-room in the hospital.
"I definitely cherish being able to help the community and kids in any way possible," Dukan said. "But to be able to go to the children's hospital and see some kids smile simply because we stopped by was an indescribable feeling."
UW Athletics has a long-standing relationship with the American Family Children's Hospital. UW men's basketball is one of the 14 teams that has participated in more than 30 visits in the last year alone.
