MADISON, Wis. -- Put on your favorite Badger gear, grab the family and celebrate UW-Madison traditions at the Wisconsin State Fair Wednesday, Aug. 8 in West Allis, Wis.
August 8 is UW-Madison Day at the Wisconsin State Fair! Stop by Central Park and be a part of some great UW-Madison activities. Experience more than a dozen interactive science exploration stations, tour a fleet of UW-Madison vehicles including the restored and re-engineered Bucky Wagon, a demo on cheese making, the Wonders of Physics and much more.
Plus, check out Paul Bunyan’s Axe, the 2011 Big Ten Football Championship, or try your hand at UW Badger pop-a-shot. Show your school spirit by getting your photo taken posing as a member of the UW Marching Band or a Badger Football player.
Join Bucky Badger, the UW-Spirit Squad and “jump around” at the 1:30 p.m. pep rally. Then at 3 p.m., the celebration takes to the fairgrounds for a parade led by Bucky Badger and the UW Marching Band. There truly is something for every member of the family and it is a great place to show off your Badger pride.
One great tradition celebrated at UW-Madison is giving back to the community and you can help by bringing select school supplies to the fair on August 8. Your donation will help students in the Milwaukee Public Schools and as a thank you, you’ll receive a voucher for $5 off a $15 ticket sheet, redeemable in SpinCity.
Team up at UW-Madison Day at the Wisconsin State Fair, Wednesday, Aug. 8, help kids in need, and celebrate all that is great about UW-Madison.
