MADISON, Wis. – One of the leaders for the University of Wisconsin swimming and diving program during the 2013-14 season, Ivy Martin made her mark in the pages of program, pool and conference annals—multiple times.
An NCAA All-American and first-team All-Big Ten honoree, the native of Madison had a junior campaign to remember, highlighted by one week at the Big Ten championships.
Named the 2014 Big Ten Swimmer of the Championships, Martin had a week to remember at the conference meet. Setting Big Ten and school records in a pair of events, Martin claimed a pair of titles in both the 50-yard (21.68) and 100-yard freestyle (47.78).
Martin followed up and earned All-America status by finishing fourth in the 50 freestyle (21.79), while also helping the 200 freestyle relay (1:27.97) to a sixth-place finish and the 400 freestyle relay (3:14.90) an eighth-place mark at the 2014 NCAA Championships.
Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week three times last season alone, Martin has been recognized a total of five times over her career. She was also an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
Martin set two pool records at the Milwaukee Dual, winning the 100-yard butterfly (54.73) and swimming a 22.61 leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay victory.
