TEAM NOTES
• Wisconsin extended its win streak to 7 straight games. The Badgers won for the 16th time in the last 17 games.
• The Badgers (20-3) have reached the 20-win plateau for the 11th-consecutive season and the 14th time in the last 15 years.
• Over the last four seasons, Wisconsin is 32-8 (.800) in regular-season games in the months of February and March.
• UW improved to 9-1 in Big Ten play for the second time in the last three seasons (13-1 in 2015) and stands in sole possession of first place in the conference standings.
• The Badgers won their 19th-consecutive home game, a streak that dates back to Jan. 17, 2016, and equals the sixth-longest in school history. It is also the sixth-longest active run in the nation.
• The Badgers scored their 15th-consecutive win over Indiana at home. IU's last win in Madison came in 1998, in the second game ever played at the Kohl Center. UW's run marks the second-longest home win streak vs. Indiana all-time (Michigan State also won 15 straight at home vs. the Hoosiers from 1992 to 2011).
• Overall, the Badgers have won 17 of their last 19 matchups with the Hoosiers. Wisconsin is 15-2 vs. Indiana since Tom Crean took over as IU's head coach.
• Sunday marked the 53rd-consecutive sellout at the Kohl Center.
• Greg Gard improved to 35-11 (.761) as head coach at Wisconsin, including a 21-2 (.913) mark at home.
• Wisconsin went 23-for-31 (.742) at the free throw line, its second-best mark in a Big Ten game this season. The Badgers went 21-for-28 (.750) in their conference opener vs. Rutgers on Dec. 27.
• The Badgers are 6-0 this season when attempting at least 25 free throws in a game.
• The Badgers held the Hoosiers to 60 points, matching their second-lowest scoring output of the season (at Michigan, Jan. 26). Indiana entered the game averaging 83.0 points per game on the season. IU scored a season-low 55 points at Northwestern on Jan. 29.
• UW improved to 18-0 this season and 33-0 under Greg Gard when leading or tied with 5:00 remaining. The Badgers held a 50-44 lead with 5:00 to play.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Sophomore Ethan Happ finished with a team-high 20 points, his fourth 20-point game of the season and the seventh of his career, adding 7 rebounds 3 blocks and 3 steals. Happ went 8-for-10 from the floor and improved his career shooting percentage to 57.2%, second-best in school history. Patrick Tompkins (1988-91) holds the school record at 57.3%.
• Senior Nigel Hayes recorded his third double-double of the season and 10th of his career with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
• With 6 offensive rebounds, Hayes moved past current UW assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft (231, 2006-09) for fourth on the Badgers' career list, with 233.
• Hayes recorded 2 assists, giving him 290 for his career to match Arnold Gaines (1977-80) for the 10th most in school history. Hayes is the only player in school history to rank among the Badgers' all-time top 10 in points, rebounds and assists.
• Hayes played in his 136th career game, matching Krabbenhoft and Jordan Taylor (2009-12) for the fourth-most in school history.
•With 11 points, senior Bronson Koenig moved past Wes Matthews (1,251 points, 1978-80) for 20th place on UW's all-time scoring list, with 1,259.
• Koenig played in his 135th career game, matching Jason Bohannon (2007-10) for the seventh-most in school history.
• Redshirt freshman Brevin Pritzl matched his career high with 6 points, going 1-for-1 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Pritzl played 12 minutes, the second-most of his career (13 vs. Ohio State, Jan. 12).
